Kling is a Veteran and a Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident with more than 10 years of mental health experience. As a graduate from Regent University, his experiences include therapy and psychological assessment for adults and adolescence in multiple settings including residential recovery, universities, VA hospital, jail/prison settings, psychiatric hospitals, as well as outpatient community clinics.
Dr. Kling has experience treating anxiety, depression, anger management, stress management, trauma, significant life transitions, adjustment disorders, and interpersonal conflict. He uses a Person-Centered/Cognitive Behavioral therapeutic approach to engage with patients and help identify specific areas of concern through the use of techniques that foster self-awareness, skill development, and goal achievement. Additionally, Dr. Kling is trained in EMDR trauma treatment, and is able to provide effective mental health treatment to military service members, veterans, as well as military family members.
